EPP is the Dell power supply family that 14th-generation PowerEdge servers require; the same unit also works in 13th-generation machines. It fits the standard Dell hot-plug PSU bay in PowerEdge R530, R630, R730 and R730xd (13th generation) and R540, R640, R740 and R740xd (14th generation). Both bays of a server must carry supplies of the same wattage and type - an EPP unit paired with a non-EPP unit is reported as a PSU mismatch.
